Managing Networked Teams

Technology, demographics, the changing mindsets of people, the economy, all these are continuing to change how work is delivered. At CA3 our delivery model is based around working with a network of like-minded talented individuals so we truly believe there has been a shift, which will continue to evolve.
How easy is it to successfully manage a team of networked individuals to deliver great projects.
For starters you need to set a common goal, clearly communicate the objectives of the project and the role they will play in the delivery.
Set key milestones for everyone, we use a couple of online tools like Asana to support this.
Set up a reward structure to ensure everyone benefits from the success of the solution, be it financial or non-financial.
Sounds boring but essential, ensure all IP rights are agreed from the start.
Ensure everyone on the team has a similar value set so that a good level of trust can be achieved.
We have certainly learnt some lessons in our short history but as we look to further build our community of talented associates we certainly have seen the benefits for us and our clients in working this way and we are also certain there are companies who will need educating about our approach.
